THE OBJECTIVE IS TO FACILITATE TOOLS FOR AUDIOVISUAL NARRATIVE TEACHING THE CLASSROOM
ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY TEACHERS CAN REGISTER FREE OF CHARGE UNTIL JUNE 3
The Huesca International Film Festival, ESCAC and “Un día de cine” program have combined their effort to carry out an intensive audiovisual training workshop for Primary and Secondary teachers as part of the 47th edition of the Huesca event. Held on June 6th, this one hundred percent practical 5-hour course (certified by the Education Department) is part of the CINE BASE programme offered by the Superior School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia.
CINE BASE is a program that aims to implement the audiovisual narrative as a basic knowledge in compulsory education. To this end, an introductory Workshop on Audiovisual Narrative is offered to Primary or Secondary teachers who have an interest in learning and applying audiovisual narrative in their classrooms, in any subject or department; let alone the creation short fiction films , it may be applied for the presentation of a work or other required performances in the classroom.
The content of the workshop will be developed from the curricular structure: Learning_by_doing, working on self-proposals, and by project.
The statistics of the results of the program over the year show its success; In four years, over 1,000 teachers from all over Spain, from different subjects area, courses and centers have been trained; working with more than 7,000 students directly in the classrooms and with an indirect impact on more than 75,000 students from 400 centers.
The workshop in Huesca will be held at AULA COLABORATORIO Coworking Cultural. Antigua Audiencia Provincial, segunda planta. Calle Moya, 6, 22002 – Huesca. Registration is limited to 25 attendees and the deadline is until June 3.

The agreement has been possible thanks to the three entities involved: ESCAC -which provides the teachers and the workshop contents; UN DÍA DE CINE -promoter of the proposal in Huesca and responsible for its dissemination amongst teachers; and the Huesca International Film Festival, which hosts the program’s proposal.
With this action the Festival expands its pedagogical activities, a special interest area it has been working for years at all levels: students, teachers, centers and other educational entities.
