(Lisbon, 1977). He began his career early on as an animation film producer and director. In 1998, Nuno set up the production company Lampadacesa, after working as a freelance animator for other production companies. In 2007 he co-founded the production company Sardinha em Lata, with the aim of investing in the internationalization of Portuguese animation cinema. Nuno began his career as a teacher in 2002 on the Volume Animation course at CITEN, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

His first feature film, My Grandfather’s Demons has been premiered at Annecy International Film Festival and nominated at Quirino Awards, at Goya Awards in 2023 and has already won a dozen awards at festivals.

Currently, as well as being a producer and director, he also teaches Animated Film at Universidade Lusófona – Lisbon, and Animated lmage at Universidade do Algarve.
