Mirella R. Abrisqueta

Mirella is a director, screenwriter, and producer. With a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra, she has worked in the audiovisual sector for over 20 years. As a creator, she specializes in cultural topics, historical memory recovery, and science communication.
For television, she has created and directed a variety of formats. Her standout documentaries include The Woman Who Dreamed of Numbers, a docufiction that brings to light the story of an unknown 18th-century female mathematician, The Sea’s Forgotten and Hunting the Invisible.
She has developed several programs funded by FECYT and other institutions, using her documentaries as educational tools. She has received the Isabel de Portugal Award for Audiovisual Screenwriting and the Aragón Press Association Award.
She is a member of CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media), serves on the board of the Aragón Audiovisual Cluster, and is a member of the Aragón Academy of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts.
