MARTA CABRERA

Director, screenwriter and producer. After training in her hometown of Vigo, where she wrote and directed her first short film Sueños (2007), she moved to Madrid and Zaragoza, where she worked as a producer on various projects until founding her own production company, Redwood Films, in Zaragoza in 2018.

As an executive producer she has championed numerous fiction and documentary projects, including the feature film Novatos, which premiered at SEMINCI and was acquired by Netflix in 2016, as well as the documentary Land of Opportunity about the Vigo-based band Siniestro Total (2013) and, more recently, the documentary Copeland (2025).

In recent years she has returned to directing with the feature film Para entrar a vivir (2023), which, following an extensive run at national and international festivals, was acquired by Amazon Prime in 2024, and the feature film Ancestral, winner of the prestigious Latido Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2024.

She is currently in production on the feature-length documentary El eco de las Salonnières, her most personal work to date.
