IGNACIO LASIERRA

Doctor in Communication from Universidad San Jorge, with a Master’s in Fiction Screenwriting for Film and Television from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca and a Master’s in Film, Television and New Technologies from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. He is currently a lecturer and director of the Audiovisual Communication degree programme at Universidad San Jorge.

He is the screenwriter, director and producer of several award-winning short films screened at various festivals: Salomón (2008), La Granja (2011), Mi tío Ramón (2015), La comulgante (2019) and Parresia (2021), which was a finalist in the Best Fiction Short Film category at the 37th Goya Awards. He has also worked as first assistant director on feature films such as Rider (Ignacio Estaregui, 2025) and Las niñas (Pilar Palomero, 2020), among others; on series such as El último show (Álex Rodrigo, 2019); and on numerous short films. He is currently developing Perseidas, his first fiction feature as screenwriter and director, with shooting scheduled for autumn 2026.
