He holds a degree in Information Sciences from UPV/EHU and has a career spanning over 30 years as a producer, screenwriter, director, professor, and cultural manager in both film and television.

He has directed 17 short films, winning over 100 national and international awards, including the Goya for Best Fiction Short Film in 2014 for Abstenerse agencias. He has also directed seven feature films, among them Aute Retrato (2019), which was nominated for both the Goya and Forqué Awards, and Labordeta: Un hombre sin más (2022), co-directed with Paula Labordeta, which won both the Goya and Forqué Awards.

As a producer, in addition to his own films, he has produced more than 20 short films and 7 feature films for directors such as Carlos Saura, Agustí Villaronga, and Santiago Tabernero.
