BLANCA TORRES

Graduated in Hispanic Philology from the University of Zaragoza, she studied at the School of Arts and Entertainment in Madrid, specializing in Screenwriting for Film and Television. Since then, for over 20 years, she has worked as a screenwriter and editor in documentary and report formats in Spain and Argentina (Cuatro, Telecinco, Telefe, El Mundo, Grupo Prisa, TVE-1, Odisea, Amazon Prime). In 2005, she made her first collaboration as a screenwriter in the feature film Amateurs, directed by Gabriel Velázquez, which competed at the San Sebastián Film Festival. In 2013, she began her second project, Ärtico, also by Gabriel Velázquez, which received a Special Mention from the Youth Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2016, she transitioned to directing and, together with Gabriel Velázquez, directed her first film, Análisis de sangre azul, presented at the Seville European Film Festival. In 2024, she directed her second feature film, the documentary Marisol, call me Pepa, premiered at the Malaga Film Festival.
