AIDA FOLCH
Aida Folch (Reus, 1986) has a solid professional career, making her one of Spain’s most promising actresses. She studied acting at Juan Carlos Corazza’s workshop and at Cristina Rota’s school, as well as staging at centres in Madrid and Barcelona. In 2000 she got her first big professional opportunity when she starred El embrujo de Shangai, by Oscar winner Fernando Trueba. These have been followed by more than twenty feature films, some successful TV films and TV series, and several plays. Her role in Fernando Trueba’s The Artist and the Model, a film shot entirely in French, earned her a nomination for Best Leading Actress at the 2013 Goya Awards. She has also directed Estrellas and Ella, and in the latter, she was also responsible for the editing.
From 2019 until today, she plays the role of Olivia in the four seasons of the series Madres, amor y vida, in Amazon Prime Video.
Among his latest works in cinema are Mamma qui comando io, directed by Federico Moccia, Haunted Heart, directed by Fernando Trueba, and Emergency Exit, directed by Lluís Miñarro.
