Writer and director working in Cinema and TV. Born in Kabul (Afghanistan), he fled the Taliban and came to the UK when he was 10. His films tell stories inspired by his home country as well as his experiences as a refugee. His debut short film, Our Kind of Love, was BAFTA long-listed in 2019 and went on to be screened at festivals around the world. It has currently been watched by more than 3.1 million viewers on YouTube.
