Artemis Anastasiadou
Artemis Anastasiadou is a screenwriter and director from Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Drama and Theatre Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Film Directing at the University of Texas at Austin. Her short film Calling (2017), a film on gender violence, motherhood and disability, received the Austin Film Society Grant and was selected at the 2018 Texas Filmmaker’s Showcase. Her following short film I am Mackenzie (2019) received the Best Film Award for Texas Shorts at South by Southwest 2019, and the Best Female Filmmaker Award in Greece. To Vancouver is her latest short film.
