Based on a true story from Portugal’s biggest case of institutionalized pedophilia, Flying Carpet follows Ricardo, a teenager seeking escape from a ruthless reality that traps him and those around him, keeping them from reaching for the stars.
Justin Amorim
Founded the production company Promenade at age 22. Born in Toronto, Canada, he moved to Portugal during his childhood. A graduate of New York’s School of Visual Arts (BFA in Film & Video), he also collaborated with the Tribeca Film Institute during his time in the city.
He wrote, produced, and directed his debut feature Leviano (2018), which premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and was sold to HBO and Amazon. Beyond creating the series 5Starz (2021), he has produced numerous films and TV projects. In 2022, he was selected for the Match Me! program at Locarno Pro.
