Portugal 2022 22' Fiction
On a night like any other, Carlos finds himself locked out of his bedroom. Beyond the door, a rat has taken over, without a courtesy call or warning. Carlos is forced to deal with a progressively eroded reality, unable to face what lies inside his bedroom.

João Niza Ribeiro
Ribeiro (1987) studied Cinema at Porto’s UCP School of Arts where he finished his Master’s degree in Directing. His final film, The Damned Manifesto, won the Take One! prize at Curtas de Vila do Conde International Film Fest, among other prizes. As assistant director, he supported films from Edgar Pera, José Magro and Vasco Saltão. In 2020, together with director José Magro, he created Pântano Films, witch aims to contribute and catalyse the cinematographic fabric in the north region of Portugal.
