Przystanek

Bread, soup, and tea are the basic meal delivered by Robert, Witek and Adam. It allows the most needy inhabitants of Łódź to survive winter. For (the) homeless shelter residents, evening rides create an opportunity to meet others and escape the monotony of the institution. Stopover is a story of people who strive for some warmth and a little bit of understanding in the rough, cold, and brutal world of those who live a low-life. They try to change their life for the better, just like we all do.

Mariusz Biernacki

Graduated in Architecture from the Wrocław University of Technology, he studied Directing at the Film School in Łódź. In artistic work, he is interested in the topics of social inequalities, relations between space and people. In documentary projects, he tries to understand different points of view and discover the beauty of people appearing in films.
