Chile 2025 18' Debut film
Mother Lidia is an immersive and unsettling portrait of Lidia Fuentes, a Chilean healer with a divine gift for breaking curses. In her home, we see her receiving patients seeking to be cured of devastating ailments with dark origins. Between exorcisms and moments of daily life, a universe is revealed where a complex balance exists between the magical and the earthly.

Juan Bautista Tagle, Joaquín Nercasseau
Juan Bautista Tagle (Santiago, 1999) is a Chilean filmmaker who graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. He works in directing, producing, screenwriting, and cinematography. He has worked as director of photography on the short film El final de los tiempos, and as a producer on the documentaries El Santuario and Zambra Análogo. Joaquín Nercasseau (Santiago, 1998) is a Chilean filmmaker and a graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has worked in directing, production, screenwriting, and cinematography. He is currently developing his first feature film.
