United Kingdom 2022 27' Documentary Debut
Left Behind tells the story of Antonio Bayo Munuera, a Spanish engineer and family man, who leaves his loved ones in Spain to volunteer in the YPG army – a Kurdish-led militia that fights against the genocide in northern Syria and Iraq. The repercussions of this choice will lead him to confront a difficult, inner dilemma: Where do we draw the boundaries of our solidarity?
