After living an intriguing experience in her garden, Carmen accepts her imminent death. All of this impacts her daughter, Ángela, prompting her to reconcile with life.

Frederico Custódio

Frederico (Leiria, Portugal, 1978) is a director and producer. Although from a young age his passions always revolved around music, cinema and literature, he studied Engineering and did research in materials science for some years. In 2015 Frederico met the French art-therapist and former clown Alain Vigneau. Touched by the depth of Vigneau’s work, Frederico decided to direct the documentary film Brin d’Amour, about his life and work. The Waking Garden is his first fiction short film as a director and writer.
