Armenia – France – Belgium 2022 23' Fiction Debut
Mariam lives in a remote Armenian village where there are no men. On her birthday, her hopes of having a reunited family are shattered, but she must put aside her own crushed dreams and build up her friend Anush’s hopes of an idyllic life as she embarks into motherhood.

Ophelia Harutyunyan
Armenian filmmaker based out of New York with a combined fiction and documentary background. Alongside Alex Gibney and Suzanne Hillinger, she directed and produced the documentary Totally Under Control. She produced Crazy, Not Insane, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and wrote and produced Red Apples, which premiered at TIFF. She’s a Berlinale Talents alumna and her films have played at other festivals like Sundance, SXSW, IDFA, AFI, Clermont Ferrand and others.
