FRATER

In the middle of summer, while moving out, Tom finds a family picture. At only ten years old, as the fantasy world of childhood seems to vanish before his eyes, Tom falls back into repressed memories. His recollection grows into a heartrending portrait of the family he once idealized.

Valentin Guiod

French filmmaker and scriptwriter. He studied at the National School of Applied Arts Olivier de Serres in Paris and the prestigious The University of the Arts in London. After directing short films for music including Breathtaking (2022) with Finnegan Oldfield and Diane Rouxel and Sabali (2024) for DJ Snake and Amadou & Mariam, Valentin directed his first short for cinema Frater (2024), recently laureate of the Jury Prize at the Bordeaux European Short Film Festival.
