EL BRILLO DE LA LUCIÉRNAGA

Pedro, an indigenous migrant, returns to his village to attend his mother’s funeral. His family ties are destroyed and he prepares to leave. When he learns of the serious problem his brother Ismael is involved in, he decides to stay and face the consequences of his absence.

Augusto Reyes

Augusto (La Paz, Mexico, 1982) is a student in the thesis phase of the Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography with a major in Directing at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, a film school belonging to Mexico’s Ministry of Culture. He also studied a Diploma in Film Screenwriting at the Escuela Superior de Cine y Multimedia ILUMINA. Currently, he is post-producing his documentary short film Nostalgia for the Future and writing his next fiction script for his thesis film exercise at the CCC.
