In an investigation on the religiosity of Poles carried out in the 1990s by OBOP, the percentage of believers always fluctuated around 95%. At the same time, unemployment rates also reached record levels. The crisis strengthened society’s need for spirituality, allowing things to happen that were not necessarily possible in other times.
