Summer has arrived, and everyone is basking in the joys of their holidays — everyone except Maria. The acceptance of a work assignment draws her into a downward spiral of misfortunes, leading her to the edge of collapse, while a relentless sun scorches her back.

Arianna Giménez Beltrán

Arianna holds degrees in Political Science and Audiovisual Communication and specializes in photojournalism. She further trained in screenwriting and auteur film directing at La Casa del Cine and TV writing at Escuela Showrunners. She began her career as a visual journalist. In 2014, she was a finalist for the Barcelona Ciudad de Arte Award and received the Clic Fotoperiodismo Joven Grant. Since 2017, she has worked in production with BBC, Al Jazeera, Channel 4 News, and CGTN. Burnt is her first short film.
