Rafaela Camelo, Emanuel Lavor

Rafaela (Brazil, 1985) is a film director and screenwriter. Her first short film Desires of the Flesh was premiered at Sundance 2019 and won important recognitions. In 2021, she was selected for Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires. She is developing her debut film Blood of My Blood. The Beads is her third short.

Emanuel (Brazil, 1995) is a filmmaker, actor and an analog photographer. He completed a master’s degree in scriptwriting at EICTV in Cuba, where he developed his first feature film, The Jaguar. The Beads is his second short.
