In a rural area of Mexico, a boy used to taking care of his alcoholic father is forced to sacrifice one of his pigs after the veterinarian reveals she’s been pretending to be sick just to be looked after. In killing her, the boy realizes she’s not the only one who’s been faking it.

Benjamín Figueroa

With a degree in Dramatic Literature from UNAM and Audiovisual and Film Production from CCC, he’s a screenwriter and producer. He received some awards, such as the International Emmy for Falco (2019), a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the Macondo Awards for The Night of the Beast (2022) and winner for Best Mexican Film in GIFF 2024 for his work in Broken Borders.
