ПАРОМ ПЛИВЕ

A grey-haired music teacher from a tiny, yet picturesque Ukrainian town prepares his small brass ensemble for a spring concert with a song called “Draw Me the Night.” As soldier funerals reach the town, he is transformed into a military conductor. A ferry that once carried residents across the Dniester River now draws the night, evening after evening.

Zhora Papoian

Zhora Papoian is a film director, producer, editor, and screenwriter from Mariupol, Ukraine. A graduate of the Kyiv National Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Film, and Television University, he has worked in directing, writing, and editing. He is a Future Leaders Exchange Program alumnus and an ELIA UAx Abakanowicz Fellow. He has collaborated with KinoArtil Production and on Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk’s upcoming feature. His short films have been screened internationally and received festival recognition.
