PLATINO EDUCA
Platino Educa is an initiative of EGEDA (Entity for the Management of Rights of Audiovisual Producers) with the collaboration of FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Cinematographic and Audiovisual Producers) to unite Ibero-American cinema and education through an online video-on-demand platform.
It is a tool designed for educational centers in order to facilitate and encourage teachers to turn to Ibero-American cinema for their work in subjects and competencies, including the teaching of the Spanish language, for training in values and for audiovisual literacy. Its ever-expanding catalog is made up of outstanding titles from Spanish and Latin American cinematography, carefully selected for their quality and educational value, and which are offered both in a complete and fragmented format into key sequences.
It contains more than 250 audiovisual works classified by subjects, themes and ages, available in various languages. To these are added more than 170 teaching guides for all school levels and a growing number of methodological guides for university students. All these teaching materials are produced by a team specialized in education through film. The platform also offers training resources to teachers, participates in outstanding events in the education sector and the film industry, and publishes the Platino Educa magazine on a monthly basis.
