Huesca, 1968. He uses photography as a starting point to develop comic and cinematographic atmospheres. He browses through these three worlds combining admiration and effort, and school grounds and imagination. A meticulous, generous and thoughtful artist, he gently spreads the image from the micro-world of the pixel.
Grounded behind his screen, to the rhythm of stalactite, he patiently creates a world that speaks with the universal language of cinema without leaving his own city where he keeps on investigating new settings and references. He then takes us to a world where the flying and gifted heroes of the comic are citizens of Huesca you can run into any day when taking their children to school. His uses friends who improvise as models, streets, landscapes and monuments that we see every day to create new worlds of mysterious destinies.
This sample of 24 pieces -a number deliberately chosen in reference to the twenty-four frames per second of the cinematograph- is the result of a lifetime reading comics, watching movies, taking photos, drawing, thinking and crushing computers. A delightful exhibition to sip calmly that offers a journey through contemporary graphic culture, from a meditated perspective and created by an image alchemist. A journey of worship.
