A trunk lost in the garbage. Inside it, 2000 music sheets of one of the most notable Argentine Big Band of the 50s, Héctor and his Great Jazz Orchestra. The discovery triggers the eventful search of its members to reconstruct its history, its sound and the fate of jazz.
Peri Azar
Degree in Audiovisual Arts (UNA), Audiovisual Realization (ENERC) and Photography Technician (UNT). Schooled by the Program of Cultural Policies and International Relations Argentina – Colombia in 2003, she created a program of network of artists, still active today, ConClub Media. In 2008, she was distinguished with the Artistic Production Grants of the City of Huesca, from which she created Osquitectura 1.0. That same year she is distinguished in the book Mujeres en Expansión for her artistic work. In 2014 she is recognized by the Metropolitan Fund for Arts and Sciences of Buenos Aires for her research work on Jazz in Argentina and later receives the Fund for Patronage of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. Her research and film project, Gran Orquesta, is declared of Cultural Interest. In 2015 she travels to La Paz, Bolivia, with IBERMEDIA and is part of the First Andean Development of Ideas Workshop. In 2016 she joins the Talent Campus BA / Berlinale. She has produced several audiovisual work such as: Historia de un hombre, una mujer y sus buenos días (Special Mention Cortala Festival – Tucumán, National Library of Buenos Aires, Tapiales Film Festival, Film Festival without camera CC Rojas of Buenos Aires), Perrone , Escritor (Premiere at the Huesca International Film Festival, Special Mention at the Zaragoza Women’s Film Festival, Teruel Film Festival), La Estrella (Sample of Videographers from Huesca, Short Film Festival of Buenos Aires, Shows ENERC), Bip, Bip Loop para Barbie (Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá, Festival of Electronic Art of Bogotá, JE Gaitá Theater, University of the Andes, Colombia). She currently works at the Museum of Cinema of Buenos Aires, part of the ARCA archive with whom she organizes the Home Movie Day Argentina and produces for 8A-110.
