In our past editions, we created the prize Los Olvidados as a special section within Huesca Film festival. That prize is still awarded by the SCIFE (Semana de Cine de Fuentes de Ebro), a contest which has become one of the most important events that awards Aragonese productions. Likewise, those works made by Aragonese filmmakers have the opportunity of being shown in the rest of the festivals that take place in our Community. There has always been a wish to collaborate not only between the SCIFE and Huesca Film Festival but also with the rest of cinematographic and audiovisual events held in our region. Because of this, Huesca Fi

lm Festival wants to have the Aragonese films in the festival, in spite of the fact that it is an international event and in the traditional medium of celluloid, which limits the number of participants considerably. On the other hand, that presence is not deemed a competence but a forum to take into consideration.

Nevertheless, Huesca Film Festival feels obliged to make that presence effective, and the best way to achieve that is, precisely, through the collaboration and attendance of people representing all Aragonese festivals. To this end, Huesca Festival is going to create a meeting place, a forum, and a showcase open to the public with the projection of a selection of cinematographic works awarded prizes in any festival among those taking place within the Aragonese geographical and cultural framework or those films fully recognized and valuated as quality works without the need of an official prize in the case of works not entered in any contest.

Our wish is to create a space in Huesca Film Festival for Aragonese cinema in its various sectors: producers, filmmakers, festivals and contests, specialized press, public, etc.
