He is a Doctor of History and was Head of History Department of Secondary Education, being already retired. He was born on the banks of Cinca river in the bosom of a family from Monegros area. He lived his childhood there and its landscape, together with those of Los Monegros and Sobrarbe, pervade most of his literary work. He studied in Zaragoza and Barcelona where he presently lives. He was a teacher in Aínsa, Zaragoza, Teruel, Huesca and Barcelona. As a historian he has written, besides over thirty essays and papers, La Encomienda del Temple de Huesca (1986), La aljama de moros de Huesca (1996) and Los moriscos de Huesca, una convivencia rota (2009). Also a writer in Aragonese language, he is the author of the poetry books No deixez morir a mía voz (1972, reissued in 1986 and translated to Spanish and Russian), O Tiempo y os días (1996) and Zaga o mar o desierto (2002); the collections of short stories O rafe d'o espiello (1997) and Ordo sacerdotalis (2004), and two novels O bolito d'as sisellas (2000) and Aguardando lo zierzo (2002), the latter translated to Russian and French. He is a founder member of the newspaper ANDALÁN and of the Consello d’a Fabla Aragonesa. As an ethnologist, he traced the folklore of the region of Sobrarbe, where he founded the dance group Viello Sobrarbe within the Secondary School he worked on, which won the 1972 National Dance Contest. He has been awarded many prizes, in the 60s in Huesca Poetry Festival, the prize “Ciudad de Barbastro” for short novel in Aragonese language with Aguardando lo zierzo and the award Pedro Saputo to the best published work in Aragonese language in 2000 and 2002.
Born in Saragossa, he works as a lawyer, an activity he started to combine with writing some years ago. He has been published two books of short tales with the titles, Relatos para Mariana and Caminos de Ronda, and also a novel entitled Madrugada. He is a usual contributor to the magazine Spend In and to the blog of the Aragonese Association of Writers. Apart from his love for reading, especially for the realist novel of 19th century and literary avant-garde of the beginning of twentieth century, he is specially fond of cinema, theatre and music, which all have a strong influence in the prose of this Aragonese writer.
She was born in Saragossa in 1972. A bachelor of Hispanic Philology, she presently works as a Secondary School teacher and also teaches creative writing. She has won several literary contests such as Fernando Quiñones 2006 or the second prize in Tierra de Monegros 2007. In 2008 she was published two books of short stories, Manderley en venta, the winner of the University of Saragossa short story contest 2007, which was also selected as one of the ten finalists for the award Setenil to the best short stories book published in Spain and Abierto para fantoches, awarded the prize Santa Isabel Reina de Portugal 2007. Some of her short stories have been published in various anthologies (Vivo o muerto, Cuentos del spaguetti-western, Tropo, 2008, Perturbaciones. Antología de relato fantástico hispánico, Salto de Página, 2009). In 2010 she’s going to be published his third collection of short stories with the publishing company Páginas de Espuma.
