Director: Akosua Adoma Owusu
Born in Virginia in 1984 to Ghanaian parents. Filmmaker and artist. Graduate in Media Studies and Fine Art from the University of Virginia and from the California Institute of the Arts in the MFA program of Film & Video and Fine Art. Ranked #6 in ARTFORUM's Top 10, her film, Me Broni Ba (my white baby) participated in over 45 international and domestic film festivals worldwide. She is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2008, a participant of Produire au Sud Workshop in Nantes, France, and a featured artist at the 56th Robert Flaherty Film Seminar in 2010. Founder of the production company, Obibini Pictures. Lives and works in Accra, Ghana and the US.
