LA LAVADORA

The washing-machine

A space-time hole. An electrical appliance which does not function well. A girl who dreams of giving her heart away. A boy who prefers hand-washing. Underclothes that disappear. A spinning cycle full of emotions: the washing machine.

Director: Ana Aurora Rodríguez, Andrea Correa Quiroz

Ana Aurora was born in Reinosa in 1982 and studied Spanish Philology in Salamanca. Her love for films led her to graduate in Directing at the ECAM. It was here where she met Andrea Correa (born in Morelia, Mexico in 1987) who had travelled from her native Mexico, driven by the same love of films, to study in Spain. Over a period of three years, both work together on various audiovisual projects as either directors or scriptwriters or assistants in directing. La lavadora is their first short film in 35 mm. Currently they are each working on various personal projects.
